He was innate at Osuna. When existence a choirboy at the cathedral inside Seville, he received the degree at Osunthe University, & took a position as a canon at a church inside Osuna old prior to 1591. Therein month a Seville cathedral appointed him when supporter to Francisco Guerrero, and he later on became master first state capilla when you took Guerrero's leave of absence. Within 1593 Toledo Cathedral hired him as master first state capilla; he remained there until 1594, when he returned to Seville.

Lobo's music combines a smooth contrapuntal technique of Palestrina with the sombre intensity of Victoria. Occasionally of his music too utilizes polychoral techniques, which were common within Italy around 1600, though Lobo never used supplementary than 2 choirs (contemporary choral music of the Venetian school often used numbers of further — the Gabrielis often wrote for when numbers of choirs when there were choirlofts, in the spacious cathedrals of Venice). Lobo was influential far beyond a borders of his native Spawithin: in Portugal, and when far away when Mexico, for even a next hundred years or sir thomas more he was considered to exist as one of the finest Spanish composers.

His works include masses and motets, three Passion settings, Lamentations, psalms and anthem, also as a Miserere for 12 voices (which is misused). There is no laic or even implemental music by Lobo is known to endure.
